Standin' on the Corner
After a very long time, I finally made it to Winslow. At long last, I was able to stand on the corner in Winslow Arizona.
It was such a fine sight to see

Submitted by sonny goldson on Wed, 06/23/2010 - 8:04am.Hello Everyone and I hope you are well and happy. I just finished watching "Pirate Radio" that just came out on DVD. I actually watched it twice. I am not sure how many of you remember the radio stations, especially the rock stations, that were off shore on boats transmitting with no rules or regulations. I believe they were active in 1966 through 1967. I remember them well and may have 1st heard Jimi Hendrix on one of those stations. The DVD is very very good, some "4" letter words, but excellent music soundtrack, excellent cast, lots and lots of dry British Humour all in our "Day and Time". I highly recommend it for a very rich nostalgic experience. Speaking of Jimi Hendrix. Dear Jimi released a new album about 3 weeks ago. His music just won't die. Laroy and I have already bought it and talked guitars on the phone!!!! It is called "Valleys of Neptune". The recording studio tapes were just found and were the last tapes of the "Experience" before they broke up. They were recorded in 1969. The album is very very good and they hired the original recording engineer to Master the album and the guy who did the Pink Floyd albums to Produce it. It is being sold at Target, of all places. It is well worth buying and very good.
We are off to GB again, our 4th year in a row, in late May. I will send everyone some "Merry Ole England" energy. You Be Well, SonnY :):):)

Submitted by sonny goldson on Mon, 04/26/2010 - 7:34pm.Last night Mark Moody’s dad, Art Moody died of a sudden heart attack.
Mark and his father were very close and Mark loved and respected his father a great deal.
I know that Art will be missed by everyone that he crossed paths with in his life. He was a great man.
I would like to express my profound sorrow for the families loss.

Submitted by MikeDillahunty on Sun, 01/17/2010 - 4:31am.Many of us have lost loved ones, and I am just letting you my friends know, my baby sister passed away this morning. I got to see her when she could still laugh with her eyes, and shake her head. Some of you knew her as my little brat sister, she was only 5 when we left England. She always talked of the smelly sheep farms, and the milk on the doorsteps at Chelveston.
Sis I miss You already, I know your in heaven with mom and dad, I love you Laura Lee, May GOD enjoy you as much as the many who had the great pleasure to know you, and love you.
Bye little sister

Submitted by MikeDillahunty on Tue, 12/29/2009 - 2:27am.To those who helped me in a time of need I am enternally grateful. An old saying from the past says " real friends are forever friends," proved so true. My friends I have to share with you, Joe Sawicki passed in July of cancer. I just found out when I called to wish them good tidings. Joe's wife and I had a good cry on the phone. She talked about the way Joe described "his friends from Molesworth," with reverance and true friendship. She told me he had a special place in his office for pics of his old school friends. She laughed and told me of his stories from and about Molesworth, Alconbury, sneaking out, the AYA, and the many school trips we all remember.
Joe, you will always be remembered as a true and loyal friend. Good Bless You my Friend.

Submitted by MikeDillahunty on Tue, 12/29/2009 - 2:20am. Hello Everyone. It has been a very very long time since I visited this site. With the onset of Christmas and the holidays, I wanted to reconnect with my dear friends. I have been to Gt. Britain the last 3 summers, 2 of those summers we stayed in Ely and visited Huntington, St. Ives, Alconbury and the surrounding area. We are planning another trip this summer with most of our stay in Ireland.
Currently, there seems to be a plethora of Beatles rereleases and mucho interest in the British invasion music. This music always takes me back to those wonderful times and memories with my dear friends at Alconbury and Molesworth.
Happy Holidays to my Alconbury/Molesworth family. Let me know how you are and You All Be Well, SonnY 850 314 0321
PS: I am feeling much better and 100% back to normal. I was not feeling well at the reunion in Riverside. I weighed 132 at that time, 164 now, yea!! The diagnosis was and still is a mystery and I ended up healing myself, imagine that!!!!
